This book consists of 32 articles selected from the Royal Academy of Sciences in Paris, Memoirs as written by various authors between the years 1769 and 1772, and translated into English by several anonymous authors. The collected articles touch on a range of scientific subjects such as mathematics, chemistry, botany, anatomy, and physics. The book includes an index of the articles, along with the name of the author who wrote each piece. While some of the articles may require a background in science to fully understand, the book captures the breadth of scholarly inquiry during this time period and provides insight into the scientific questions that occupied the minds of intellectuals.
