The Moon the Sun Forgot

In the vast, lawless ocean beneath the thick surface ice of Jupiter’s moon Europa, independent undersea miners compete against megacorporations for natural resources, and pirates hunt for unwary prey.

Kassia McCullough will stop at nothing to enact revenge on Pretorious Grant, the man she holds responsible for her father’s suicide. When Grant's half-brother escapes from prison, Kassia may just have her chance to capture her elusive and powerful enemy.

Earth detective Max Danzig has his own reasons for pursuing the nefarious siblings. The newly escaped convict, Somerled Rhone, murdered his partner, and Max is determined to bring him in alive.

Brought together by their mutual quest for vengeance, Kassia, Max, and an outlawed AI named Alex embark on a perilous journey, dodging bounty hunters, corporate mercenaries, and dangerous undersea creatures along the way.

Perfect for fans of expansive sci-fi adventures, The Moon the Sun Forgot is an immersive tale of love and retribution, set in the mysterious and gorgeously imagined depths of Europa’s subsurface ocean.

B.J. Wagner's love for the natural world came from growing up in the Canadian Rockies, and his imagination was shaped by parents who chose the bedtime stories of Tolkien to Seuss. Although he enjoyed the hobby of writing, it was discoveries by NASA's Galileo spacecraft that focused his creativity on Jupiter's moon Europa. Before moving to Calgary, Alberta, B.J. wrote a novel to share with family and friends. Then, years after life and marriage took him to new and exciting destinations, he decided to revisit his work and explore ways to sharpen his skills.

After enrolling in online courses with the Alexandra Writers' Centre Society, B.J. and a group of students formed a writing group where ideas flourished, skills were shared, and works faced critique. His story transformed into something special with their guidance and support, and The Moon the Sun Forgot was born.

With a passion for distant worlds, adventure, futuristic technology, and even a little romance, The Moon the Sun Forgot is a testament to B.J.'s creativity and dedication. It is a story that strives to captivate and inspire readers with the mysteries of the unknown and the wonders of the imagination.

B.J. and his wife have journeyed to Antarctica, Tanzania, the Galápagos Islands, and the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard, capturing the beauty of wildlife through photography. But once their memory cards reach capacity, the travel-weary couple eagerly return home to their two cats.
