The Moonshine Memorandum

DO NOT PURCHASE “USED COPIES”! This is a highly topical Memorandum. It is being updated continuously, and second-hand copies do not feature the latest revision: October 2026.
Elon Musk’s claim that “civil war is inevitable” reflects his controversial rhetoric surrounding UK immigration and shifting demographics in Western democracies. Sentiments that have drawn widespread criticism and fact-checking from political scientists and media analysts.

• Demographic Anxieties: The perspective frequently references rapid population growth in regions like Sub-Saharan Africa which, some UN projections estimate, will account for a significant portion of global demographic shifts - or 40% of the world’s population - by 2100.
• Identity and Empathy: This viewpoint asserts that Western constitutional foundations are threatened by “counter-colonisation,” i.e., high immigration levels, open borders & policies of broad multi-cultural empathy, which some figures argue dilute established demographic identities.
• Media and Commentary: Chapters like ‘The Overlord Conspiracy' are indicative of reclusive, radicalizing networks that blame shadowy elites or Big Tech systemic policies for a perceived societal decline.
• Critical Consensus: Mainstream political and sociological experts reject this alarmist narrative, characterizing such predictions as fear-mongering and misinformation designed to fuel anti-immigrant sentiment.
