Second printing from December 1929 of a book first published by Country Life in October of the same year. The boards have a little staining to the spine and to the top left corner of the front panel and some bumping to the corners. The page edges are browned and uneven where several of the plates at the front of the book have been taped back in place. Previous owner's bookplate to front free endpaper. The previous owner's name has also been written in ink to the half-title page where there is also a gift message in pencil. Four pages have been taped into place with vertical strips down the length near the spine and the tape is now very yellowed and will have left marks underneath. All the plates have been collated and each one still has the tissue present showing the title. Scattered brown spotting to a number of pages through the book. The jacket has a three inch piece missing from the bottom of the spine which is darkened, has a few stain marks and has some tearing on either side at the top. Chipping to the bottom corners of the jacket which also has some edge rubbing and a little discolouration around the edges of the front and rear panels. Seller Inventory # 013667
