And who is the traitor in their midst?

Set in the early summer of 1899 off the coast of Nantucket, Morgan and the Monster of the Deep continues with the winning format of weaving mathematical theory and practice into a captivating adventure story. Book Two of the series explores the relationship between multiplication and division and presents the mathematical concept of Symmetry.

The Morgan tales are designed as early Middle-Grade books. The sentence structure is simple and straightforward so that the book is accessible to younger readers, while the storyline is complex and intriguing enough to engage older readers. The Magic Math Adventure series is loosely based upon the collection of tales, The Thousand and One Nights or The Arabian Nights. These stories were created during the Golden Age of Islam in Persia and the Indian subcontinent.

Praise for Morgan and the Monster of the Deep

Since we had so much fun with the first Morgan book, we were very excited to read this book! My second-grade class has really enjoyed the problem-solving and interactive elements of this series. As a teacher, I love the way that this book integrates reading and math standards in such an engaging way. My whole class loved this book so much! It was a definite win-win for us!

This was a great read! What I love is that these books contain so many facts and historical items that we can research together as a family. We learn so much while reading a Morgan book. My kids, 9 and 6, asked me to read and reread Morgan and the Forty Thieves and Monster of the Deep is no different! We look forward to more books about Morgan's adventures!
