1930 reprints of the 1906 issuance. A complete, 2-volume Everyman's Library set of Sir Thomas Malory's famous work which is centered around King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. First printed by William Caxton in 1485, this version follows the original text, but with modernized spelling and punctuation (per Ross, p. 323). Glossary at rear of vol. II. With an introduction by John Rhys. An entry in Everyman's Library Romance series, edited by Ernest Rhys. E.L. no. 45 & 46. --- In "Shield Era" curved back binding style 2, blue ribbed cloth-covered boards with gilt-stamped Reginald Knowles-designed spine titling & decorations, blindstamped J. M. Dent vignette to front cover, and with dark blue topstain and fancy Knowles woodcut art at title page, frontis and endpapers. Volumes lack the dust jackets. --- With prior owner's signature to both front free endpapers and mild scratching to covers of vol.
