Mosbys Handbook of Diseases, second edition, provides an up-to-date profile of 231 adult and pediatric diseases and conditions. A user-friendly organization lists all diseases in alphabetical order from Abruptio Placentae to Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome. In addition, diseases and conditions are organized in a consistent format so the reader can immediately find essential information.

The easy-to-read content uses short phrases and sentences making the terminology appropriate for all potential markets. Nursing jargon and abbreviations are not used.
The books design is also helpful to the reader. Topics are heavily cross-referenced. A disease or condition is listed by its scientific name as well as its more common name, i.e Rubella and Measles. Colored tabs with the letters of the alphabet will be placed on the outer edges of the pages. The index features full bleeds for quick access to information.
