Moses: Heart of a Leader

Moses is arguably one of the greatest leaders in history. Born as a slave, condemned to die, raised as a child of the Pharaoh, exiled as a murderer, excelled as a shepherd, and ultimately revered and reviled, Moses leads. His exemplary leadership shines through even in his failures and weaknesses. In one lifetime, Moses takes a massive gathering of slaves and turns them into a feared and respected nation of conquerors. His journey is simply miraculous and unprecedented. Mike Hilson is the Senior Pastor of New Life Church based in La Plata, Maryland. Since 1999, the church has grown under his leadership from a congregation of less than 100 attendees into several churches and video venues. The New Life Network of churches now averages more than 5,000 in regular attendance across Maryland and Northern Virginia. Mike currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Southern Wesleyan University. He also is a member of the Chesapeake District Board of Administration as well as the General Board of Administration of the Wesleyan Church. He lives in the D.C. Metro Area with his wife, Tina. They have three sons, Robert, Stephen, and Joshua, who have taken this journey of ministry with them.
