Mothering & Dream of Rain

A book-length prose-poem published together with a short play based on the same materials. Robert Creeley says, "In every respect, a most exceptional book. Its incremental, gathering process of statement, its inside-outside, dream-centered wisdom of persons - nothing can make evident so simply that this text is a physically actual progress." The first edition of Mothering (Allegany Mountain Press) received Honorable Mention in the 1978 Great Lakes Colleges Association New Writers Award competition.

Judith Kerman is the author of 7 books and chapbooks of poems. She is editor/publisher of Mayapple Press and founding editor of Earth's Daughters. She was a Fulbright Scholar in the Dominican Republic in 2002, and has published translations of Cuban and Dominican womenw writers.
