See photos for condition details. Hardcover, dark orange textured cloth boards with gilt to spine. Exterior shows spotting and scuffing and spine is faded. Edges and corners also show bumps/wear. The internal binding is at the boards (no splits) but there is some pulling present at several areas of the text pages. The front end page contains a Christmas 1873 gift inscription which is written in pencil, no other handwriting found in the book, no bookplates, no library markings etc. The pages around the tissue guard show foxing, as does the tissue itself along with the exterior page edges, but for the most part pages just show some light toning. Some light dampstains can also be seen on the rear end page and pastedown edges.
