Very clean and bright original dark blue and gilt illustrated binding with sharp corners to the boards; 762 coloured figures, including 141 plates, with 69 in colour; no previous owner's marks or gift inscriptions; very clean and tight end papers and illustrated text block with no spotting or sunning. Dust jacket condition: Very Good plus: bright illustrated front cover with white letters reversed out of blue ground; nicks and creases to spine tips and to some extremities; very clean verso and flap texts; not price clipped (£6.50).
