My Motley Life: A Tale of Struggle (Paperback or Softback)

"My Motley Life, a Tale of Struggle" offers a compelling and candid look into the life and career of Keble Howard, a prolific English author, journalist, and playwright of the early twentieth century. This engaging memoir traces Howard's journey through the vibrant literary and theatrical worlds of London, chronicling the challenges and triumphs he faced while establishing himself as a significant voice in British letters. Known for his wit and versatility, Howard provides readers with an intimate account of his professional evolution, from his early days in journalism to his successes as a novelist and dramatist.

The narrative captures the essence of the Edwardian and post-war eras, populating its pages with the influential figures and cultural shifts that defined the period. Through personal anecdotes and reflections, Howard details his "motley" experiences-ranging from the rigors of the editorial desk to the excitement of the stage. As both a personal history and a broader commentary on the creative life, this work serves as an invaluable resource for those interested in the history of the British press and the development of early twentieth-century literature. "My Motley Life, a Tale of Struggle" remains a poignant testament to the persistence and passion required to navigate a career in the arts during a transformative time in history.
