About the Author
Ron Warfield lives close to The Mountain in Eatonville, WA. During a 30-year career as a park ranger/naturalist with the National Park Service, Ron spent time in Yellowstone, Lassen Volcanic, Blue Ridge Parkway, Cape Hatteras, and Crater Lake before beginning a ten-year period as Assistant Chief Naturalist at Mount Rainier. Retired from the Park Service since 1996, Ron and his wife Beckie now work as outdoor photographers and authors.
