About the Author

Amy and Mark moved to the northwest some time ago with the sole purpose of being near the mountains. Up from the plain plains of Texas, Washington's Cascade and Olympic Mountains have opened up new worlds to them beyond what their southern brows could fathom. Now living and working in the Seattle area, Amy is a local freelance writer and Mark, an independent business owner and musician. And while Amy has been writing for such magazines as Mountain Bike Magazine, Bicycle Retailer, Snow Country, American Bicyclist, and Washington CEO, Mark has been cycling through New Mexico, Canada, Texas, North Carolina, and as far away as Scandinavia and northern Europe.
