Philip M. Berk is a certified Reiki Master and healer, a cancer survivor, an educator, a writer, and a holistic therapist. At the age of twenty-eight he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. It was through this experience and his continued interest in spirituality that this book came to be. During this period of illness he was consumed with the idea of creating a book that would nurture and console the human spirit in times of difficulty and hardship. Having lived in many spiritual centers and having read many spiritual texts, he wanted to transform these ancient teachings into a modern and more accessible format. Philip has devoted his entire life to healing. It is his vision that we are all capable of finding true peace and of becoming fully empowered in our lives.
