Mourning Light: The Chronicles of Sateria: Book Two

"These are the times that try men's souls. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph." -Thomas Paine

The Chronicles Continue:

Beyond the walls of New New York lies a broken nation of drowned roads, dead cities, and old hungers -and the lost souls who escaped are about to learn that freedom has a cost.

Wounded, hunted, and carrying more grief than supplies, the unlikely companions push deeper into the lost lands, where every mile strips away another lie. The telluric foundation is still reaching for them. Chicago is stirring in the lost lands, and the people beside them may not be who they thought they were.

As buried memories surface and loyalties are tested, something dangerous rises behind the eyes of the girl they swore to protect. To make it through the dark, they will have to decide what can still be saved-

Because the only thing more dangerous than grief is the dimming mourning light.
