Synopsis

Mouse and Mole are the best of friends-until the evening they spot a falling star. "It's my star! I saw it first," says Mole. "No, I saw it first!" shouts Mouse. The quarrel tears them apart, but as time passes, they miss each other more and more. One fall day Mole spots a vibrant yellow leaf. He thinks it's the fallen star and decides to return it to its rightful owner, Mouse. Meanwhile, Mouse sees the same leaf and suspects that Mole has lost his star. With gentle humor and charming illustrations, this sweet story carries messages about friendship and the appreciation of nature.

About the Author

A. H. Benjamin was born in Algeria, where he studied Physics and Chemistry. He has written children's books since 1987 and has had several books published by Little Tiger Press. He is married with four children and now lives in Lincolnshire. John is married and lives part of the year in Cambridge and part in Cannes in the South of France. He studied at the Cambridge College of Arts and, since graduating, has illustrated numerous picture books. John's other interests include chess, snooker, badminton, playing the piano and travelling to far-flung countries.
