About the Author: Rick Weinheimer has been a teacher, a coach, and a mentor for almost forty years. He is currently an English department chair in Columbus, Indiana, where he teaches classes, supervises twenty-six teachers, and oversees curriculum for over 2,800 students. Rick was recognized as the Education Hall of Fame recipient for his school corporation in 2014. As a coach, Rick has led his boys' and girls' cross-country teams to multiple state championships and to national recognition. He has been named Indiana Coach of the Year nine times and has been a four-time nominee for National Coach of the Year. Rick was inducted into the Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Hall of Fame in 2004. Rick and his wife Amy, a pre-school special education teacher, have five grown children-David, Megan, Kate, Claire, and Dave-a son-in-law Ian, and a two-year old granddaughter (the Amazing) Grace. In addition to teaching and coaching, Rick is active as a speaker and workshop coordinator around the country in the topics presented in this book: Purpose, Attitude, Philosophy, Excellence, Leadership, and Compassion.
