Move and Learn: Let's Jump

This Move and Learn series is geared toward young readers and supports the premise that learning fundamental motor skills must be based around proper technique and developmentally appropriate practice. The skills children will take away from this Move and Learn series can serve as a foundation for higher level skill movements. While learning a new skill can be difficult, using the ‘We Improve When We Move’ philosophy connects practice with increased success.

Here, the Let’s Jump book invites readers to join Active Annie and Lively Laura as they learn and practice jumping. With the help of Mr. Flipps, these engaging characters will teach that success comes from perfect practice. Young readers are encouraged to move alongside Active Annie and Lively Laura to work on their own jumping skills. Together, they will have fun, build knowledge, develop skills and help friends.

The authors have decades of experience teaching children about health, movement and fitness in developmentally appropriate ways. This series provides parents and teachers the opportunity to encourage movement exploration in a fun and meaningful way. Each book includes a learning connection resource and check-for-understanding component to support skill and knowledge acquisition.
