About this Item

Near Fine with very good Dust Jacket. Book of the Month Club. 1964. Hanneman states publication in June 1964 of 204,000 copies. The book boards are charcoal with a burnt orange spine with gilded gold lettering. On the rear board resides the Scribners icon and the little square indentation of the book club. The endpages and other pages are bright and clean with no use of pencils or pens. The dust jacket has little wear around the edges and one half inch piece missing on the top. The dust jacket states book club on the front flap. The back flap mentions Hildegard Rath as the artist of the oil painting. Included in the book the BOTM Club insert by Clifton Fadiman, describes the writing Hemingway left behind?an autobiographical recollection of the Paris of the early 20s. Mary Hemingway leaves a note to let us know the story is the years 1921 to 1926. Photos of the time included.
