Aging is a result of slow and progressive decline in multiple body systems, is inevitable & unavoidable. Longevity is considered as one of the measure of health care system for any country. But adding years to life still questions the quality of life lived by the aged population with increase in the number of disabilities and injury and consequently institutionalization. The ability to maintain balance is the foundation for mobility and overall functional independence throughout the lifespan.Falls in elderly is a challenging problem with potentially serious consequences and morbidity.Falls can result from many factors including both extrinsic and intrinsic factors such as deficits in sensory, cognitive, central integration and musculoskeletal abilities.
