First printing of the new edition (1924) hardcover in lightly soiled red cloth covered boards with bumped and rubbed tips/spine ends, small poke in rear gutter cloth, tips still sharp. 1.5" split in cloth at corner of foot of spine and rear board. Dull but legible gilt spine title. Former owner's gift ded and vintage bookstore sticker on age-toned fep. Book now in clear custom fitted acetate jacket to protect it going forward. 145pp text tight and clear, hinges fine, top edge dyed red, others untrimmed. Few spine cracks but no loose leaves, and all pages present. Taken from Surtees' Handley Cross with 25 wonderful full page color plates by George Denholm Armour. Solid reading copy.
