George Bayntun, Bath, 1926. Hardcover. First edition thus, first impression. Waxed blue cloth. Gilt lettering to spine. Pictorial spine and upper board. Colour frontispiece. Illustrated throughout with monochrome line drawings. No dustjacket. Previous owner's bookplate pasted onto front pastedown. Previous owner's name at top of front free endpaper. Head and foot of spine frayed. 1 cm tear to head of spine. 1 cm and 2.5 cm closed tears to foot of spine. Spine dulled. Lower board slightly soiled, slightly mottled and partially rubbed. Corners of fore edges of boards rubbed. Front and rear hinges cracked. Pastedowns lightly foxed. Endpapers tanned. Overall, the book is in a fair condition.
