The only date on the book is the preface dated 1852 but probably early 20th century. 408 pages. No dustjacket. B&W line etchings in text by John Leech. Clean purlish-blue hardback binding with gilt-coloured titles to front board and spine which latter is darkened. Moderate wear to boards' corners and edges. Browning to page-edges and page-margins, has 'File Copy and edition/impression, published on' stamp in red but not filled in with dates to flyleaf which is unevenly browned o/w pages clean and tidy.
