Mr. Whole Takes Note (Paperback or Softback)

Mr. Whole Takes Note is a fun, lighthearted story that teaches kids about the everyday connection we have to music. The whole cast of characters, from the sleek, stylish teacher, Mrs. Clarinetta, to the exuberant, egotistical Mr. Whole, all the way to insightful, outspoken Quarter, play on musical themes and concepts in a way that is easy for all readers to digest.

The story, through its characters and their relationship with Mr. Whole, also teaches basic mathematics concepts, such as division, fractions, and counting money, in a fun and humorous way. These core principles aren’t just everyday math. They are also the foundation of understanding musical notation, and Mr. Whole Takes Note illustrates just how enjoyable learning math and music can be.

Beyond the educational aspect, there is a character-developing moral to be learned in Mr. Whole Takes Note about the value of humility.

Sometimes, our biggest lessons in life come from the people and places we least expect.
