180 x 125mm. pp. 235. English text. Scarce review copy of 'Mrs. Warren's Profession' by George Bernard Shaw. Includes seprate sheet from publisher reading 'In sending the accompanying book for review, Mr. Grant Richards wishes to point out that it will not be published until .; and he will be obliged if no notice of it appears until that date'. The publication date has been crossed through as shown in the attached images. Bound in original paper cover as was typical of review copies. Volume enclosed within custom protective hard cover, which is contained within custim slipcase. Brown title label to spine of fold-over protective cover. This fragile volume shows closed tears to ends of spine, and folding and creasing to edges. Spine shows some cracking and toning, but volume still strong. Title label on fold-over cover shows some rubbing and fading. A rare survival. No ownership inscription or underlining. See images.
