Ms. Mallory

These 21 poems walk you through real life experiences and feelings of being an educator in America. Teachers can relate, whereas outsiders can get a better glimpse into what it is like to work in this rewarding, and often difficult, profession.

Mallory Mechel is an educator, artist, author, and creative based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She has taught in elementary schools and childcare facilities for over five years. She writes as a way to process her experiences and make sense of them all. Mallory finds joy in sharing her creations with others and strives to continue to do so in many different art forms in the future.
