Each drug targets critical aspects of periodontitis pathophysiology, including inflammation, oxidative stress, and alveolar bone loss, making them valuable tools in enhancing therapeutic outcomes.The application of metformin, alendronate, and statins as LDD agents shows significant potential in improving clinical, radiographic, and biochemical parameters in chronic periodontitis.
