Synopsis:

In this book we have endeavored to show various types of modalities used for communication among the deaf children at home and in a school situation. Multimodal communication is used by human beings for meeting the communication needs. Deaf Children are no different in the usage of multimodal communication. Multimodal communication essentially consists of usage of various modes used for communication, such as gesture, gaze, sign language, tactile, textual modes which are visual & spoken words, interjections that are auditory and combination of these modes as chaining. This aspect needs to be recognized by the society. An attempt is made this book to depict the patterns, in usage of various modalities in depicting the historical bodies in a situation.
