About the Author
Maxine Holmgren is a Christian author, playwright and entrepreneur. She lives in Southern California with her husband, who is an avid golfer and golf instructor. She is grateful to the Lord for giving her the talent and skill to write. She has used this gift to combine her passion for tea, mysteries, and acting by writing short stories, party plans, plays and now, a Christian mystery novel. Writing mystery tea party plans for friends was the natural outlet for her talents. This soon led to an internet business. Her humorous mystery party plans are sold nationally, and even internationally, at www.mysteryteaparties.com . Maxine enjoys public speaking and does presentations to women's groups, about the health benefits of tea. She also belongs to an amateur theatre group where she enjoys acting and directing. In addition to the seventeen mystery tea party plans, she has also written four one act comedies that have been published and are listed in the Samuel French Catalogue of Plays. She says, "I like to include as much humor as possible, when I write. I think we all need more laughter in our lives. 'A merry heart doeth good, like a medicine.' (Prov.17:22)"
