The baffling mystery takes a turn when a young American named Martin Somerfield points out the massive keyhole in the thick oak door, raising the theory that the shooter might have fired from outside the room. To unravel the puzzle, cool-headed private detective Philip Tolefree is brought in to navigate a complex web of hidden secrets, suppressed motives, and the carefully maintained appearances of high-society etiquette.
