AGATHA CHRISTIE - THE MURDER ON THE LINKS, published by UK publisher Bodley Head/John Lane, copyright 1923, Second UK Printing 1923 and identical to the first printing - same boards same format same ads at rear of book AS THE RAREST UK AGATHA CHRISTIE FIRST PRINTING (due to poor sales of "The Secret Adversary" the print run on Murder On The Links was reduced (making it the smallest UK Agatha Christie printing ever and as a result of the book quickly selling out this 2nd printing was quickly made within the same month as the 1st printing), only lists "The Secret Adversary" to left of title page, white endpapers, light orange cloth boards with black lettering & art deco boarder design to spine & front board. Book has just a couple of crease page corner, no former owner or used bookstore markings/stamps inside, clean endpapers with no markings or tape residue, no foxing to pages, endpapers or outer page edges, hint of dust soiling/age darkening to outer page edges, no tears/repairs to internal hinges, tight flat pages, no spine sun darkening, no cloth wear-through to board edges or board corners or to spine tips, no tears to exterior hinges, tiny water spot to front board otherwise almost just a hint of dust/handling discoloration to boards, no other soiling stains/discoloration to boards, no rubbing to spine/front board lettering/art deco designs, no bumped board corners. Book also comes with a color facsimile of the UK Bodley Head 1st issue Dust jacket to provide protection from damage and to improve its appearance on a shelf. Overall a FINE- book of a very rare 1920s era UK Bodley Head/John Lane Agatha Christie U.K. second printing of her 1st book. I have a number of other U.K. and U.S. Agatha Christie 1st printing hardcover books up for sale.
