Muriel Finch and The Pageant of Secrets (Paperback)

The annual Ms. Seaglass Cove Pageant is meant to celebrate talent, friendship, and community spirit. Instead, it becomes the center of a growing mystery when a series of unsettling incidents threatens to overshadow the competition.

"PRETTY THINGS BREAK." A chilling message scrawled in lipstick appears on a dressing-room mirror. A contestant's gown is sabotaged just days before the pageant, and suspicion begins to spread. What starts as harmless rivalry soon gives way to fear, leaving everyone wondering who can be trusted.

While her sister Ellie competes for the crown, Muriel Finch finds herself drawn into the investigation. With her sister Ava at her side-and Houdini, her loudmouthed parrot, providing plenty of unsolicited commentary-Muriel discovers that the attacks are only the beginning. Beneath the pageant's polished smiles lies a decades-old injustice someone is determined to avenge.

As opening night approaches, Muriel must uncover the truth before another innocent life is shattered.

Because in Seaglass Cove, yesterday's secrets always find their way back into the spotlight.

Debby is a wife, mother, grandmother and friend of God. When she's not typing like a mad scientist at her keyboard, she's curled up with a cozy murder mystery or laughing along with reruns of Monk and Columbo. Her favorite place to unwind? Sipping lemonade on her porch at the Hidden Valley Ranch.

Her writing journey began with The Inside Scoop on God, a heartfelt debut that opened the door to her next adventure. Teaming up with her partner-in-crime, Kate Jungwirth, Debby co-authored the award-winning Mystery at Point Beach series-a six-book collection that won international acclaim from Readers' Favorite and captured the hearts of young readers far and wide.

But the sleuthing didn't stop there. Enter The Tin Can Trilogy-a fast-paced sequel series that follows teen detectives Dominic, Forest, and Sailor, along with Grandpa Bob, Windsong, and their beloved RV, "The Tin Can." From the sunny shores of Florida to the rocky coast of Maine and the foggy mountain roads of Washington, every stop on the map leads to a new twist, a new clue, and a whole lot of trouble.

Debby's newest adventure takes readers into the charming coastal town of Seaglass Cove with the Muriel Finch Mysteries. Sharp-witted, observant, and impossible to fool, Muriel Finch proves that retirement doesn't mean slowing down-it just means having more time to solve crimes. Filled with quirky characters, buried secrets, and cozy twists, the series blends classic whodunits with humor, heart, and a touch of seaside charm.

With every mile marker, a new mystery begins. Buckle up-the ride is just getting started.
