Hardcover in original blue cloth boards stamped with illustration of a woman strumming a guitar. Faded but visible, as is title on spine. No dust jacket. Book is in very good condition. Pages are clean and unmarked except for a few occasional tiny tears to edges. Paper is unfoxed and not brittle. Spine is a little loose but binding is not in danger of giving out. Corner tips of boards are worn, as are edges of boards in general. Includes a lengthy index of titles and first lines and a section in the rear of phototype engravings and portraits of musical figures. Ornate presentation page at front has never been filled out. Decorative floral endpapers. Large folio. 463 pp. plus the illustrations at the end. Includes a lengthy list of titles and first lines. Folio. Heavy.
