About the Author
Tom Briggs (Wilmington, North Carolina) served as the Director of R&H Theatricals, a division of The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization that represents more than 100 musicals, for over a dozen years. As a director and choreographer his affiliations include the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Waterford, Connecticut, Actors' Theatre of Pennsylvania and the Fulton Opera House in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Chicago Premiere Society, Candlewood Playhouse in New Fairfield, Connecticut, Dorset Theatre Festival in Dorset, Vermont, and the National Theatre Workshop of the Handicapped in New York City. He has served on the faculties of Union College in Schenectdady, New York and Nicholai College in Rhinelander, Wisconsin and has been a guest lecturer at New York University. As the Artistic Director of St. Bart's Playhouse in New York City, he produced over 25 shows., He recently directed the world premiere of the musical Pompeii at the Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts in Wilmington, North Carolina. Tom currently serves as the Executive Director of the Thalian Association in Wilmington, NC and continues as Creative Consultant to The R&H Organization.
