Musical Statics: An Attempt To Show The Bearing Of The Facts Of Acoustics On Chords, Discords, Transitions, Modulations And Tuning (1897)

Musical Statics is a book written by John Curwen in 1897 that aims to explore the relationship between the principles of acoustics and various musical concepts such as chords, discords, transitions, modulations, and tuning. The book delves into the science behind sound waves and how they interact with different musical instruments, as well as the mathematical and physical principles that govern the harmonies and dissonances in music. Curwen also explores the history of tuning systems and how they have evolved over time.
