Synopsis:
With over 85 million users, and adding an estimated 270,000 each day, MySpace is one of the most popular destinations on the Internet. As such, it's an ideal tool for musicians interested in promoting their music to the widest possible audience. There are literally hundreds of acts that have gone from the garage to radio airplay to a major recording contract by using Myspace as their launching pad. This book teaches musicians how to design a MySpace page optimized for music distribution and promotion, with exoert advice on which MySpace communities to join, how to best position and advertise MySpace pages, and how to best use MySpace to effectively market music. MySpace for Musicians caters to both musicians who are unfamiliar with the network, as well as musicians who already have a MySpace page but want to learn how to make better use of it. This is the one and only book on how musicians can maximize the most popular and successful band promotion site!
