2017年夏秋，我完成了长篇历史小说《二十九甲子，又见洛阳！》初稿。这部作品，是我人生路上的不偶之作。这里"偶"指偶然，也有"单独"的意思。用我自己的话说，她"是我一颗不老的民族初心的全面迸发和集中体现。"是我的"国爱井喷"。那以后，我又创作了一系列的历史散文。这些历史散文，基于我对中国历史和中国人的深一层认知，显示我对自己民族和文化的深情挚爱和归属感，也是我在海内外传扬中华文化的动机和使命感的体现。
创作《又见洛阳》前后直至今日，又是国际局势纷繁，中国遭受空前挑战和困难的时候。我时常忧心如焚，时常向神祷告。这部散文集，也在一定的程度上折射了我一个阶段以来的相应心境。
"天涯"一词时常出现在我的文字里。除了历史散文，这部集子还收录了我和故乡有关的作品。另外，润饼灯、番石榴、茉莉花、番石榴、环保袋等等内容，从不同的角度体现出我的人生关键词：简单与初心。
这些作品，文心如水，文笔浑然天成，大都在海内外的传统或网路媒体露过面。之前，我已经出版过散文集《天涯之桑》、杂文集《机翼下的长江》，另一部散文集《茶界》则一直在出版社的付梓列单上。谢谢美国南方出版社出版这部集子，这也是我的第四部散文集。感谢热爱我文字的朋友们，包括为我写评语的编辑、文友和读者们。
文学与人生一体。在我这里，家、国和神虽处于不同的层面，却是联系在一起的。感谢神的恩典。我在大洋的这一端，永远祝福我的至亲至爱、我的祖国和同胞！
