Three timeless masterpieces of Christian mysticism gathered in one volume, each illuminating a distinct path toward deeper communion with God.
In The Practice of the Presence of God, Brother Lawrence reveals how ordinary work and daily routines can become acts of devotion through continual awareness of God's presence. Saint Teresa of Ávila's Interior Castle portrays the soul as a magnificent castle whose successive chambers lead inward toward spiritual transformation and divine union. In Dark Night of the Soul, Saint John of the Cross explores the difficult process through which the soul is stripped of false comforts, purified, and prepared for a more complete encounter with God.
Together, these enduring works offer practical guidance, profound spiritual insight, and an intimate portrait of the contemplative life. Mystical Paths to God is an essential collection for readers of Christian spirituality, devotional classics, contemplative prayer, and the great mystical tradition.

About the Author
Saint John of the Cross (1542-1591) was a Spanish Carmelite friar, priest, poet, and mystic whose writings became foundational works of Christian spirituality. Working alongside Saint Teresa of Ávila, he helped reform the Carmelite order and endured imprisonment and severe persecution because of his efforts. His best-known works include Dark Night of the Soul, The Ascent of Mount Carmel, The Spiritual Canticle, and The Living Flame of Love. Through poetry and theological commentary, he explored spiritual purification, detachment, contemplation, and the soul's journey toward union with God. He was canonized in 1726 and named a Doctor of the Church in 1926.
