About the book >.>.> The Myth of the Goddess: Evolution of an Image Book by Jules CashfordThe Myth of the Goddess traces the development of goddess imagery from the Palaeolithic and Neolithic periods, through the Bronze and Iron Ages, to the Virgin Mary as ?Queen of Heaven? Drawing on art, mythology, poetry, literature, archaeology and psychology, Jules Cashford and Anne Baring examine how the Goddess became excluded from formal Judaeo-Christian images of the divine, and consider when and how this happened and what its consequences have been.
