Referenced as no. 115:4 in Wagner-Camp-Becker. Pages are clean and intact overall but are fragile and age-toned with occasional chips at the edges. A few pages appear to have some repairs. Covers have slight wear to the corners and edges, some rubbing to front and back, and a surface chip on the back. Binding is tight. A Very Good copy. John C. Fremont (1813-1890) was an American explorer, politician, and military officer. This report covers Fremont's first expedition to the Rocky Mountains in 1842 and his following expedition in 1843-1844 to Oregon and California. His main mission for the first expedition was to survey the Wind River of the Rockies, the Oregon Trail in the Rockies' South Pass, and the lands in Wyoming. During his second expedition, Fremont explored other western regions and visited places such as the Great Salt Lake, the Snake River, the Columbia River, the Cascades, Mount St. Helens, Mt.
