About the Author
Robert Alan Gerrard is a chartered quantity surveyor with 30 years experience of setting up and managing contracts in the UK and overseas. He specialises in procurement and project management, and is experienced in financial control, contract preparation and administration, including the consideration, evaluation and resolution of contractual claims. He has been the NEC User s Group Secretary since 2005, and authored some of the documents in the NEC3 family. He is a full time NEC consultant and has run numerous NEC training courses, working with NEC contracts since 1996. He is also an Examiner for the ICE Law & Contract Management examinations. Stuart Kings provides training and consultancy throughout the world on NEC contracts and has authored numerous articles. He gained a doctorate in improving the effectiveness of tender documentation. Through work in all industry sectors he has gained a detailed practical knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts and the ingredients to successful project delivery. He developed the NEC3 ECC Accredited Project Manager programme for the NEC and is also a director and co-founder of Sypro Management Ltd. which specialises in on-line NEC contract management.
