A good sized, hardback book, quarterbound in navy coloured cloth, cream marbled paper sides, with oval shape image of Nelson on front board, gilt title impressions on spine. Comes with box, slipcase, which has a few brown marks, please see image. The book is in really good condition, looks like its hardly been used or read. Normal wear and marks apply consistent with use and age. First published by The Folio Society in 1994. 256 pages, all intact, all pages, text, illustrations and maps are in excellent, clean, readable order. The maps were drawn by Denys Baker. Printed in Great Britain by Bath Press Colour books on Fineblade Smooth Cartridge Paper and bound in quarter buckram with vegetable parchment sides at The Bath Press, Avon. Set in Modern Extended Type at The Folio Society. The portraits reproduced on the binding are details from Viscount Horation Nelson by Lemuel Francis Abbott, 1797 (National Portrait gallery and "The Spinstress" - Lady Hamilton at the Spinning Wheel by George Romney, The Iveagh Bequest, Kenwood and English Heritage.
