Il s' panouit d'abord Paris en tant que cr ateur ind pendant en ditant ses propres pi ces de mobilier. En parall le, il ouvre une galerie et est le premier repr senter Memphis. Ses cr ations personnelles sont pr sent es en 1985, l'exposition Vivre en couleurs de la Fondation Cartier. Limoges, ensuite, il est au service de l'institution publique, directeur du Craft, centre de recherche sur les arts du feu et de la terre. Une communaut artistique se fait jour autour de lui. Il collabore et entretient des relations fid les avec nombre de cr ateurs, designers, artistes, mais aussi fabricants, commanditaires et collectionneurs. Durant presque dix ans, il travaille par exemple, en bonne entente avec le photographe Didier Cazabon. Riche de ces exp riences, qui l'ont men d velopper ses diff rentes pratiques, Nestor Perkal a forg un savoir-faire coh rent et en accord avec son poque.
