Pages numbered 333-492. A softcover book in acceptable condition. Back cover is detaching and spine is chipped. Spotty stains on cover; bottom corners of most pages are stained. Foxing throughout, but text otherwise unmarked, and binding still tight despite external damage. Volume 10, no. 3 of THE NEW ENGLANDER from August 1852. Originally founded in 1919 as THE CHRISTIAN SPECTATOR, this literary journal eventually became THE YALE REVIEW, and is still published today. This issue contains articles on Francis Bacon, early Ohio pioneers, and the ethnic breakdown of the U.S. population, as well as literary notices on numerous Biblical studies.
