pp.106 plus 2 pages of publisher's adverts. Illustrated with 10 original sepia photographs by J. G. Short pasted onto blank leaves with black lined borders and a folding frontis. map. Original brown endpapers and original bevelled green cloth-covered boards with gilt decoration. Ex-Library with round perforated stamp on title page and numbers on verso and small round stamps in margins of a few pages and margin of map.Title written in gold on spine with Library class number and traces of erasure of white ink over the words 'the new'. Folding map at front and 10 albumen photographs mounted on thin card leaves within black ruled borders; these captioned in very light pencil on the blank margins. 8vo (8 1/2 x 6 3/4 inches), 106-pages with 1 leaf of advertisements at end. Original bevelled green cloth attractively blocked in gilt, all edges gilt. Some marking to lower bevelled edge, headbands a trifle bruised. Overall this is a superb copy.
