A fabulous set of twenty volumes published in the 1930's (no actual published date inside the books) which form "The New "Punch" Library" collection. (The New Punch Library, edited by J.A. Hammerton, presenting the cream of national humour contributed to "Mr Punch" by our leading comic draughtsmen's and humorous writers from the year 1900 to the present day.) All twenty books are bound in a navy blue cloth, with lovely gilt titles on the spines, Mr Punch stamped image on front board. All twenty books are in good condition, normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent use and age. On average there are approximately 240 pages and over 200 illustrations and frontispiece in colour per book. On the whole these twenty books, have been well cared for, there is the odd mark as one would expect for books that are getting on to be 100 yrs old. They deserve to be preserved for future generations to understand the humour and political satire of that time. These twenty books would grace and stylish library. Please note as the set of twenty books weigh a considerable amount of weight, it would be prudent to get a postage/shipping quote prior to shipping, especially if the books potentially are going overseas, as postage/shipping will increase from listed postage/shipping price depending on final destination.
