Both vols. full leather, 2nd sl. darker, 1st only has gilt sp. title, darker at top, thin split towards bottom and chip to same by by fr. joint, darker 2nd has sp. darkened further, both clean and tight. Vol.1: t.p. + (2, table of prints) + 24 prints across full openings with blank recto & verso to. l.h and r.h. prints; small 1817-dated sig. to fr. end-paper with tanning to edges of both end-papers and t.p. otherwise clean, tight and unmarked, Vol.2: t.p. + viii ( pub. preface explaining that engravings have been improves and replaced from previous editions and work now issued in 2 vols) + 90 + (2, pub.list); no fr. end-paper and t.p. edges tanned, with fr. gutter incipiently opening but secure, rear end-papers tanning. 1st single vol. ed. listed as issued 1803 (but uncertain in Wikipedia bibliography and suggested as c.1797), this given as 1808. Scarce as complete 2 vols. 10 cm x 13 cm.
