Lithographed plates, hand coloured in FINE condition. With a special map of the United States plans of cities comprehended in 81 sheets and forming a series of 145 maps, plans and sections. The coloured maps are absolutely beautiful, bright and clean. Binding in half red leather with publisher's brown marbled boards. Ornate gilt leather title on upper board. Overall leather binding heavily scuffed. Four gilt ruled lines on spine. Endpapers soiled and a little stained. Small pencil drawing of a face on fep. Overall an excellent collection of historical maps from 1850's. Inside ipages, maps are in excellent condition. Outside leather is worn. Good binding/ Near fine maps. Size: 17" x 14" x 1".
