About the Author
Jeremy M. Berg served for eight years as Director of the National Institute for General Medical Sciences at NIH, where he championed transparency and communication. Prior to his time at NIH, he was at Johns Hopkins University for 19 years as a postdoctoral fellow, faculty member, and department chair. He is currently on the faculty of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he serves in several key administrative positions and conducts research in computational biology and personalized medicine. He has received numerous research, teaching, and public service awards.
